Up to 20 million have been affected by the floods, of which 6 million are in need of humanitarian assistance to survive. The death toll is over 1,600, but will rise rapidly unless more aid reaches victims soon.
I just made a donation to Action Aid Australia, a charity I think make a real difference when comes to disasters like the Pakistan floods, they’re on-the-ground right now ( apparently 80% of their team are on the ground at any one time) and will continue providing there assistance until people lives are back on track, not just until the media stop covering the disaster. – Something I feel differentiates Acton Aid from most other charities.
